Best places to eat on Clemson University's campus

There are a variety of fantastic restaurants, all just steps away from campus and the nearby Clemson apartments, making it easy to enjoy diverse dining options. Whether you are in the mood for a quick meal or a sit-down meal, Clemson University's campus offers food options for every craving. One of my favorite parts about Clemson's dining plan is the various restaurants that take dining dollars, paw points, on campus. This gives students the opportunity to change their eating habits and explore new options no matter if you live in an on or off campus apartment. I love being close to on-campus food options—it's perfect for busy days, meeting up with someone, or when I have a visitor in town.

Clemson On-campus Dining

Clemson's on-campus dining options include diverse cuisine and tastes. If you are near Core Campus or Memorial Stadium, Which Which, Chick-fil-A, Raising Canes, Stripes Grill, and Blenz Bowls are the best food options. Stripes Grill is a new restaurant known for their smash burgers and slushies. The Buffalo Chicken wrap is my favorite menu item other than the smash burger! The right next store is Which Which, where you can design your own deli sandwich. This is a great choice if you're on the go and need a hearty, satisfying meal. When located on the east campus or near the Hendrix Student Center, visit Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Einstein Bagel, or the new Halal Shack.

The Halal Shack offers fresh Mediterranean cuisine with an American touch. Additionally, students and visitors can pay to eat at the university dining halls if they do not currently have a dining plan. There are three dining halls on campus with differing menus every day of the week. This can be an excellent way for potential students to get a feel for Clemson's dining services.

Downtown Clemson Dining

In downtown Clemson, SC, you'll find a variety of excellent restaurants offering diverse options, inviting staff, and quality food. If you're craving Mexican cuisine, Moe's and Chipotle are both great choices right downtown. For those in the mood to catch a game, some of the best sports bars include TD's, Charleston Sports Pub, Backstreets and Loose Change. If you visit Charleston Sports Pub, try their famous bird-dog fries for a great appetizer. A great place for pizza is Todaro's, Your Pie Pizza, or DP dough. If it is a hot day and you need a cool down, look no further than Cocobowlz in Clemson, SC. My personal favorite downtown restaurant is Evolve, a locally sourced restaurant with American-style food. Last but not least, Groucho's Deli has a sandwich called the STP and the Apollo that are to die for! All of these restaurants are just steps away from campus, yet are located near Clemson's off-campus apartments, making them convenient spots for students living nearby. Only a short walk from campus, these restaurants are a great place to take parents or friends when they are in town.
